Corona High School Students and Parents,
As you already know, today, Riverside County moved back into the “Purple” or Widespread tier of the Governor’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy. As a result, ALL (elementary, intermediate, and high) schools in the CNUSD will NOT open as originally scheduled. As a result we will not open on the originally planned date of Nov. 2 for comprehensive high schools. Since schools have not yet opened for in-person instruction and we have moved back to the purple tier as a county, schools must remain closed. Athletic conditioning will continue with no athletic contact or shared equipment, more updates will be provided by our Athletic Department.
Optimistically, the earliest we could return to in person instruction is 3 weeks from today. This would bring back students approximately a week before Thanksgiving break and shortly before the peak of the flu season. As such, and pending further discussion with our Board of Education, we anticipate holding off on the physical return of students to after the new year. Further details will be provided at a later date and exact reopening dates will be communicated well in advance so that teachers, students and parents will have adequate time to prepare. Thank you for your continued patience with this very fluid situation. Have a great afternoon!
