Overview
The Corona High STEM Academy is a specialized program that offers a rigorous curriculum for students interested in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields. When enrolled in the STEM program, students can expect a learning experience that takes the processes of critical thinking, problem solving, innovation, and collaboration and integrates it into the curriculum of real-world science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. 

Learning in the STEM program goes beyond the textbook. Students in our programs work with technology that is in current use in professional industry.

Students that choose to join the Bio-Medicine or Engineering program will be placed into an educational Cohort. All of the students classes (English, Math, & Science) work together to shape content lessons towards the STEM area of study. For example, while reading the Lord of the Flies in their English class, Bio-Medicine students may study the affects of malnutrition on the boys stuck on the island. While the Engineering students may have to design and construct a model of a shelter that could protect the survivors from the elements.

Transfer and Join CHS STEM

Ethan Lowe (pictured above) transferred from Norco High to Corona High (his senior year) in order to join the STEM Aviation program. Ethan passed his checkride at Riverside Airport and earned his Private Pilot License. 


Administrative Transfer Information:
* If your home school is Corona High School, you will not need to fill out the administrative transfer portion of the application.

* If your home school is not Corona High School, but you would like to apply for our STEM program, please complete the administrative transfer form portion on the application before sending it to Ann Babin.
